Our Focus
- Develop a data analysis subgroup to create a more comprehensive data collection approach.
- Promote & increase awareness of Narcan throughout the community, specifically in AED cabinets in public spaces.
- Explore a centralized reporting system for Narcan distribution and usage.
- Explore ways to track overdoses that are not currently reported through law enforcement.
- Education & Information Dissemination.
- Expand Narcan access in all schools.
- Promote Narcan through PSA.
- Evaluate all schools drug/alcohol intervention programs.
About Our Team
This team is a subgroup of Task Force members that implements overdose and drug trend surveillance using ODMAP, Medical Examiner and other drug trend intel, deploys peer recovery specialists to people who overdose, identifies spikes and issues spike alerts to the community and mobilizes rapid responses to identified spikes and threats. This team serves as the data collection and analysis hub for the Opioid Task Force; their objective is to ensure that data and information is shared broadly and used to drive Task Force strategies and actions.
This team also implements prevention specific strategies targeted at people who do not use drugs/opioids, to promote informed decision-making and healthy behaviors.
