Helping those with Substance/Opioid Use Disorder achieve and sustain recovery. Those with real-life experience provide critical insights, perspectives and recommendations to the policies, programs and efforts made to improve the local response to the opioid crisis.
Enhancing and expanding treatment services for people with Substance/Opioid Use Disorder and exploring legislative changes to combat the opioid crisis.
In 2024, over 4,000 New Yorkers died from drug overdose. Opioids, specifically fentanyl and other synthetic opioids, were the most common substance involved in drug overdose deaths in NYS.
The mission of the Oneida County Overdose Fatality Review (OFR) Team is to explore the issues and obstacles related to drug overdose fatalities by conducting confidential case reviews of overdose deaths.
